Oct 12, 2019  New Apple Music app for macOS Catalina will not successfully point to local files on external drive. Upon installing macOS Catalina and Apple Music v1, I had to re-point iTunes to my external folder on my external drive. When it was installed/upgraded from iTunes, it changed the music folder to the default in my Home folder (under the new 'Files' pane in Music preferences.
